Sure ! To remove iron fillings and old tar spots to get the surface ready for polishing. Its paint like on the car. So why take less care of them ?!

Today i startet to get some Stonechips sorted.....

No results actually cause the paint ist drying and needs some sanding on Tuesday.

You know em you hate em

Filled up 10 of these little buggers with basecoat and clearcoat.

The real detailing starts on Tuesday. But i have to skip some things like underbody clean up und the engine because its just to cold.

Have to do this a few weeks later. So only Paintwork and maybe interior time.

Hi

Just want to show some of my last weeks work on the car.

Startet last Saturday with filling up some stonechips:

This is how they looked before sanding. Dont mind the messed up paint around the car was at ford for some work... and they swirled some areas...

Time for a good wash... even it was quite cold..

Then dryed and up on some axle stands. To get easy access to the lower parts and to adjust the coilovers a bit more.

Then the usual claying work.
Quite a bit of dirt from the lower areas.

Bit of part removing for better access.

Then started with sanding down the stonechips.

before

after sanding

and finished.

Worked quite well and this one and 9 ofters are nearly gone !

After that i started to polish the car.

Here a first 50/50 from the ford "styled" paint..

Another 50/50 and this shows the overall condition of the car quite well.

Superlight swirls and the paint is a bit dull. Thats all.

The finished bonnet.

This was also done by Ford....

After i completed the polishing it was time for some paint cleanser to give it a bit of extra gloss and make the surface wax ready.

Then applied two layers of Pinnacle souveran paste wax for 100% coverage.

And after adjusting the coilovers and putting the car back together it was time for some finish work.

Cleaning the windows and dressing the tires.

This is how it stands now.

Will let the centercaps of the car. Next week on friday its summerwheel time !

All was done during for days and wasted ca. 22hours of my life.... again
