Vettel was never in any serious danger of losing the race, but beyond that there was some decent racing and overtaking going on throughout.

Just to add to the results Rob posted, both Alonso and Hamilton were given a twenty second penalty after the race as a result of the accident you referred to. This leaves Alonso in 6th but relegated Hamilton to 8th.

a bit off that hamilton got a penalty for moving more than one direction. most drivers do that and they dont get penalised, this was just cause it was in the lead up to the crash

anyway interesting race

Brilliant drive by Heidfeld, definately driver of the day

they think changing the rules and and design of the cars will improve the sport, but it doesnt. it just allows the main teams to use their experiance to leave the back of the grid behind. hamilton should never of got that penalty, they should of just shot alonso for being a prick and having catapillars for eyebrows.

Yes there is overtaking, but that's mainly from 5th place down, not the leaders

The problem is all the cars are different, yes they are on control tyres but fundamentally the aero is what you make of it and the cars do vary quite alot. Unless we have 24 identical cars (A1 GP as an example) we are always gonna get someone with an advantage.

But my point is, if they leave the rules for a few seasons and allow the other teams to learn the cars an make suitable parts, they would catch up, but if they keep moving the goal posts and changing things, then the lack of experience in the team will restrict them

Money is the biggest restriction, RB, MC & FER can spend millions on researching a new undertray for example where Lotus, Virgin etc simply cant afford to. there should be strict limits on spending to make it more of a level playing field.

They did try to bring in budget caps a few seasons ago and it did not go down well with the teams.
