It seems that it's because the BBC is short of cash and this is seen as an easy way of making some savings by reducing the amount they pay each year.

It was inevitable that Sky would get involved, hopefully their coverage will be spot on, its nice that they will be showing everything LIVE throughout the whole season.

Im not sure they will have advert breaks during the race tbh, they only break in the football at half time

Anyway back to today.................. Hamilton continuing along nicely

so does this mean we will havet to pay to watch it on sky sports bloody cheek

Yup have to pay, hopefully my dad will pay and I can go round his to watch it....

Atleast the highlights will still be on bbc. Will have to watch them.

I was always under the impression that berni and the teams wanted to keep f1 free to air?

Oh ffs I wont be watching all the races then. I never watch tv apart from f1 and top gear so Sky is a complete waste of money.

P2 - Looking good for tomo's quali

yep I now won't watch any that BBC get to show.

Its a bad decision imo but money rules F1............

Oh yeh, they'll have the 'special' ones i guess........

Monaco
Silverstone
Spa
Singapore
Monza
Abu Dhabi

possibly berni will step in before contracts signed to change this. as said bernie wants it to be free to air, and all the work thay have been putting in over the last few years to improve f1's following will all be undone by the move to sky. i CANT afford nor justify paying £60 to sky to watch races and then the channels ive paid shedloads for, not be used for the rest of the year.

all the way through I thought it was going to be Lewis' but unfortunately he didnt quite make it

A shame he couldn't quite make it but with the McLarens starting in 2&3 hopefully they'll get off to a good start tomorrow.
