Hi guys, thanx for your input on my first post about the gear change feel on my car, it helped me alot , ive got another question to ask regarding the power steering fluid and how the steering should feel on the Fez ? ive looked at the colour of the fluid and it seems to be very dark red, i know its suppose to be cherry red but how dark or light of a cherry red is it suppose to be ? secondly my power steering feels a little heavy, not were loads of force is needed but just a little, im just wondering if the steering is suppose to feel like that or whether its suppose to feel light ?

again any advice is much appreciated
Cheers Finny

Check your tyre pressures.

My steering feels heavy compared to ever other car which I drive. Remember that the tyres are wide which can affect it.

My parent's Toyota has steering made of air I think! Totally weightless in comparison!

this is funny! if i thrash the blue ST especially off the line it wines, and if im having a bit of a session on some b roads it wines as well.

although the silver ST i had never had this problem

why does it wine?

i can never floor my car in first or it wines, and some times when im close to the limiter it begins to wine slightly after

They tend to whine when either the pumps are on the way out, or the fluid is boiled / black. It's definitely worth changing your fluid if you haven't done so yet. I made a little guide when I done mine the other day, I'll try and get it posted up shortly.

Yep I get this all the time when I thrash it even if I do it for 10 seconds or like you said flooring it in first it also does it. Im thinking about the pas relocation kit but its alot of money though

Yeah don't worry about the steering feeling heavy I came from a Citroën c2 to this and it felt the same for me in the beginning its just something you get used to.
