In need of some help, approx 3 months ago i fitted some eibach lowering springs. Today I have noticed at slow speeds and when turning particularly to the left sharply a knocking sound is emmitted from the front, i believe it is predominatly from the drivers side, it is not continious and does not occur all the time. I have taken the wheel of and pretty sure its not the wheel bearing and the CV boots are not torn. I was thiking of taking the suspension unit on the front off and checking alignment, busings, top mount and bearing. Is there any advice someone can give to what to look for, i.e if it is the bearing what are the signs this is worn?

Any help would be appreciated.

have you got the little sleeve on the end of the spring? if thats not on there it cant knock

Check you haven't left any tools under there? Mate had a knocking noise found out the garage had left a set of mole grips attached to the car

the mechanic i take my car to had a jaguar come in with a knocking noise when turning... it ended up being a golfball in the glove box!

I hope they charged him for their time!

I get exactly the same thing but with my rear nearside. I know it's the spring that needs doing. I just haven't got around to getting it done yet. I should do really.

Are your springs in good Nick? The needs them replaced anyway. They flagged it on the last MOT *sigh*.

will have my h & r springs on in the next week or so,so i wont need them and i dont want any money for them also just to add the springs are not that old either as i have a Receipt saying they was changed when it hit 50000 miles
