went out this morning to wash the car and I noticed this...



I couldn't believe it! Just wish I had caught them doing it Oh well got to get a new one now, so whats the best way of getting the sticky stuff off?

Oh my lord..... I'd flipping kill them... Mind you someone has picked at the pink vinyl on my badge so I have to do it again...

The only thing I can think of to get the sticky stuff off is to perhaps heat it a little and just gently pick at it until it comes off. It might take ages but thats the only way I can think of without damaging the paintwork.

OMG, that is awful to see

If you park your car on the drive, maybe buy one of these £30 camera's for the outside of your house looking on your car, it may just make them think twice!!!

I think T-cut is good for getting this stuff off... A little heat also might help.

Did they cause any damage getting it off!?

Shame you didn't catch them, a good kicking would have done them some good!

Luckily theres no damage! they must have used a credit card or something plastic I reackon, I think it was done in a car park while shopping the other day. Won't be parking there again!

Oh My GOD! Im not happy about that now, cheap bloody Chavs! Poor car! I didnt imagin it that bad when u told me this morning....! NOT HAPPY!

Scotty it was'nt when It was parked up cause I have been leaving it outside on the drive latley, it must have been in a car park when we went to do Xmas shopping or in tesco's.

Checked it out, its £10 on ford parts uk and £13 on torquesteer. See if u can get it from Ford tho cause then they can fit it on too.

Gonna be nervous parking it outside now.....

OMFG, that's terrible.
Try using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive a bit then pick it off.

And I can't believe someone's had a got at the pink vinyl on Pinky's car.

Thinking about it what type of person actually goes out to nick parts off other cars???? Makes u think how they cant even fork out a tenner on a badge! If you want the real thing go and buy it - dont nick it! Idiots....

Spot on...

Its usually the case that they are taken in carparks as they can hide behind the car and then take it off without anyone seeing

Its a real shame but its only a badge, it can be replaced... its just the bother but atleast theres no damange!!!

I have anti theft spinning valve caps on my foci... its very funny when you see hand prints all over my alloys with them trying to get them off but not being able to... very funny lol.

The [Email]b@stards[/Email] - what do they gain from doing it? I hear ******************* is a good one for removing glue (make sure it is ******** though!)

Hope they didn't cause too much damage actually getting it off!!

Beware though we had a spate of it in our works car park and the buggers will keep doing it until caught so if you park in the same place frequently keep an eye out.

thats awfull dark hayz! Just use hot water and credit card to get the big pieces off, then use a sponge or cloth with a bit of T-cut or MER for the rest.

Do NOT use nail varnish remover! Just a warning...

I used it myself after some advice a few years ago and it took the paint off my bumper...

Sorry to hear about that. There is just no need for it.

I suppose it is one consolation that at least it looks like there was no damage done to the car, but it must be so annoying.

Sorry to see what happenend.

My Ford Puma was scracced once in a terrible way. (£ 700,- cost to fix). At the time i could kill the "guy" who done it .... if i know who did it. At first
you wish you would have noticed it while they where doing it.

Afterwards i realize that i was for the better for me (prison isn't everything to...) and him i didn't notice him doing it.

Lets hope in terms of costs that is one to overcome (without huge raise of your insurance...as was the case with my puma).

Lets hope the "Bastard" gets punished in hell... and that he will stay away from other people's property!

Thanx for the comments guys/Gals. Got a dilemer now, been looking on torquesteer and i can't decide whether to get a silver/blue st badge or a silver/blue rs badge? I think the rs badge would look cool and different? What do you all think?

If you get an badge ppl will laugh as its not an

A silver/blue badge would look really nice... personally i'd go for that one as you would get no bad comments about it!!!

Not too sure to be honest. I know what you're saying about it looking different, but ultimately it isn't an . I know that I personally wouldn't do it but then I think its obvious by now as to why I would think that way.

All my previos Fords that I had "debadged" My local dealer used "Tar remover" to shift the glue It worked a treat even on Brand New Fords
T Cut is a bit too harsh and takes off the top layer or laquer its slightly abbrasive
My sister in law had her VW badge nicked new years eve they forced it off the grill I thought VW badges were old hat now
I have had one centre cap nicked off the wheel about 2 weeks ago and countless dust caps
seems petty theft is on the increase
