resonated includes a box to try and keep noise down.

volume basically
non resonated probably hard to live with day to day whereas resonated would probs be alright i reckon

+ 1 i have a resonated and its nice sounding now its near 2000 thousand miles old id imagine the sound will be louder when i get the manifold?

that's why I dont get it. It doesnt really make sense hehe. Resonated means that it reaches resonance or in physics terms...the point of highest reachable amplitude. Shouldn't that mean more sound now?

A kazoo is resonated whereas a trumpet isn't. The trumpet blows seven shades out of said kazoo.

yeah i guess resonated in this case just means it's stopped from resonating freely whereas the non-resonated does resonate freely hence why it's louder?

God knows

resonated exhausts work on noise cancellation principles. using phasing - the basic physics behind it are that the frequency travelling through the air chamber in the exhaust(which is calculated to be an exact size) bounces off the wall of the chamber (or resonates) and is reflected back on itself, if the freq is at the same amplitute and same phase will in effect cancel itself out reducing the overall percieved noise from the exhaust

Im not a scientist or anything btw. I studied sound engineering at the School of Audio Engineering in a past life when I was gonna be something big in the music industry as a producer (that worked out well lol)
