I pre-ordered this game, was a little reluctant to do so but i thought "what the hell" and did it anyway. Anywho, I had a little play (first season) and tbh I'm not too sure about it...
Yeah the graphics are amazing and the dust/snow ect is a good feature but the thing I'm interested in is the gameplay. The cars do not have enough feeling for me, kinda like they have no weight behind them and that everything is just "point and go" but this could be the fact that I have been playing Forza 3 since the day it came out. Forza's physics engine just does so much more for me.
Don't get me wrong, Dirt 3 is a great game and I'm sure i will play this into the ground too but little things like the fact you cannot pick a car and stick with it or the lack of visual customization kinda spoil it for me.

Have you taken all the assists off?

As above, turn everything off and play it 'properly' then it comes alive

BTW, the fecking Gymkhana is damn hard

didn't get it in the end. Tesco didn't have it for ps3

yeah I turned everything off, I think it's because I'm comparing it to Forza and I shouldn't because they are different games completely.
On another note, I quite like the gymkhana and on the Gymkhana academy thing I got 3 platinum medals on my first try although I know I'll have to practise to get them all platinum =[
