A few people on here have been in a similar situation, including myself, but this a bit extreme for a solution

My Dad sat with a drill bit specifically designed for this job and drilled all 4 wheels off before (can't remember what happened now, think when they changed the tyres they may have ruined the locking nuts doing them up too tight)

yeah bassically adam the guns the garages have something like 3000psi behind them.

okay to do bog standard nuts up but the locking key wasn't designed to be tightend with 3000psi.

do it once okay...do it twice that locking nut aint coming off.

maths is simple.

gripping surface +pressure = result

small amount of gripping surface, the surface begins to wear away from a higher volume of pressure.

larger gripping surface more pressure can be applied.

my car had all four wheels tightend including locking nuts with a gun and when i took my alloys off for the first time destroyed the key and the nut in the process.

Words of advice to anyone reading this:

DONT do your locking wheel nut up with a 3000psi gun!

Yea I remembered what it was now, they had done them up with a gun and so for some reason we needed to remove the alloys off my dads lotus
So we set about doing it but the locking nuts wouldn't come off, we rigged up a contraption, that included a skip as dead weight, then used a jack between that and the car to try and apply enough pressure to the nut to stop it slipping, but it was too far gone,

So bought a drill bit about £15 I think and drilled them all off, didn't take him too long in the end I don't think
