Just came into the pits after a few laps into P1 at Melbourne, fastforwarding time a bit now, and still 19th so not bad i think

I took Jerome D'ambrosio's spot at Virgin, to keep it a bit realistic by only having 1 Belgian driver around
Think most of you will go for Lotus?

About the driving, first few laps were quite odd, but it has been ages since i played any F1 so that will probably be the reason
Starting to get the feeling back now though.
Did notice i don't seem to have KERS available at Vrigin, which isn't the case in real life either right?
DRS does take some getting used to, have to remind yourself to press the button every time when coming out of corners. And do NOT press it early when exiting the turn
And don't forget to turn if off either if you're taking a quick turn (no braking)

That's it for now, time to improve my time

Had a wet P2 which took it's toll on my supply of front wings, tried to find a decent setup but kept taking too much kerb and spinning at high speed

Was cool to see the racing line dry though, and you could see the intermediates go up in temperature quite quickly, so i followed the rest of the grid and went for the option tyre, which ofcourse made me lose another front wing when i went off the racing line, so i gave up on that session

Will be lotus for me.

I'm liking how much of a challenge this is sounding

Is Kers going to be a develompent part? They do have them in real life i believe.

So what position did you get up to in p2?

Last , didn't really get a decent lap in, too busy trying stuff out

I guess KERS will be R&D yeah, tbh i think it's good not to have it from the start, otherwise there are too many new buttons to push

Just finished my first race weekend, goal for quali was 20th, got upto 19 but over a second behind 18th, lots of work to do still

Had quite a boring race after the first few laps, didn't really gain much at the start as i was real careful around the first few corners
The goal was 18th, was running 19th after 3 laps, went for a prime-soft-prime strategy, as the softs wear out real quick (might be my driving though)
Felt like i was driving a cargo ship the first few laps, big difference between near empty on softs for quali and full fuel load on primes at the start of the race

Not sure what happened but i gained 2 places without even noticing, when i came out of the pits after my first stop i got the message that the track was clear, when i got control back over the car just before turn 1, i got hit in the back and i got the drive through

By the end of the race i hadn't overtaken a single car, except for a careful little battle in the first lap
But i did finish 14th (there were 5 DNF's), got in first of the 3 slowest teams so i guess that counts for something

This is all on the hardest difficulty btw, all assists off except for TC

Glad you can feel the difference between full fuel and near empty. Also how strategy will play a big part in this one. 2 stops in a race usiing the prime is very cool aswell. Guess it would be 3-4 stopper if you mainly used the softer tire. Is there much difference in lap times between the tires?

Also 14th on the hardest setting seems very good. F1 2011 i got the lotus on pole on the hardest level.

What length race did you do btw?

50% so it was 29 laps

You can clearly feel the difference between soft and prime, lower overal grip, both under braking and through the corners

Oh and i'm in for a treat tomorrow, race forecast for Kuala Lumpur is heavy rain
