Just finished 12th at India, not bad in a Virgin but the team wanted me to finish 8th wtf are they thinking

Yeah need to accept/decline before Yas Marina, which is now, so if there isn't another offer on the table when i go back to the paddock, i'll be in a beemer next year

Just finished my first season, and a frustrating end it was

Went for a 3 stop strategy as i didn't trust the recommended 2 stopper

Went for a option-prime-option, with a short stint on the primes to get the most out of the options... in theory

I had 2 half worn sets of options and 1 brand new one, so i started on the best of the worn sets, with the idea of putting the brand news ones on at the end... in theory

Stupid game decided to put the other worn set on instead of the new ones when i came in for my 2nd stop, so by the end of the race i was sliding all over the place

Seems like codemasters have screwed things up again, thanks for releasing a patch that makes things worse and using us as beta testers

Quote:

Just to clarify what’s been posted to date, we've looked into this and there are two seperate issues that people are reporting in this thread.

1) If you select drive out for a second run on the same set of tyres in Practice or Qualifying you’ll incorrectly go out on the next best set of tyres that you have available. When playing offline if you use Flying Lap this will not happen and you will be on the set you select.

2) At the end of P1 only, tyre wear from your most worn set of tyres is copied over the wear for the other available set. This can be avoided by selecting the other set before skipping to the next session.

For workarounds for these issues you can follow the steps outlined in bold above.

I've been trying to have ABS turned off as its supposedly quicker ( a mate is killing me 1.5-2secs a lap quicker, on 2010 we were equal) but not sure how it works, i slow down enough it locks up, slow down too little....well I don't stop

Any advice?

Its about learning the correct braking points and braking in a straight line mate

ps3 or 360?
ps3 is quite difficult as the triggers don't have much travel on them.
You must brake in a straight line.
Apply more pressure to the trigger to start and then slowly relese the trigger the slower you get.
Hope that makes sence.

Use the trigger like you would a brake pedal, if u slammed the pedal down in a car with no ABS then it would lock up etc

Started my 2nd season yesterday, first race in a Williams, and it's just too easy now... Qualified 6th within 0.2secs from pole, and won the (wet) race easy

Found another AI bug(?) as well; i was doing a 40% race, was a wet race so everyone was on inters the entire race, everyone made 2 stops, and with 1 lap to go the AI decided to pit again
Makes no sence, i'm pretty hard on my tires and i could keep the car on the track easily so surely the AI tyres can't have worn that badly??

Just playing a career race at silverstone- massa crahed into me and I got a drive through penalty so entered the pit at full race speed (as it slows you down once you're in there anyway) and as I entered so did another car
Ended up crashing into the back of him and destroying his car
Burst out laughing then the game crashed because it obviously wasn't sure what to do

Was so funny at the time
