So saturday is the day, taking the ST out to on the track for the first time

I've just spent an hour grinding down laps at Zolder on Shift 2 in a Focus ST (closest to the Fez) to get to know every corner

Going to prep the car tomorrow, need to clean the air filter and TB while i'm at it and check the tyre pressure, got my front brake pads upgraded at Jamsport the day after FITP, together with the goodridges brake lines and they filled it back up with dot5.1 brake fluid, bearing in mind the upcoming track days.

Anything else i need to consider? (besides filling up obviously)

I'm not jealous atall

When you get to the track drop your tyre pressure a few psi. And when you get back to the pit area do not put your handbrake on (park in gear) other wise you might not be able to get it off again

what time you gonna be there Thomas and when is your track time?
I can come as planned, but not all day, got somewhere to be at 4pm

drop pressure Micky? on the site for the meet they said put it a bit harder than normal

Yeah i've read about the handbrake thing somewhere

Will be a rainy day most likely, just to make things more interesting

11h00-11h20: Pace car laps
11h20-12h00: First session
14h30-15h10: Second session
16h10-16h50: Third session

And all that for about 100 quid

And i won't forget the cam Stephen, going to record all 3 sessions, that way i can check my laptimes when i get home

Tyre pressures go up during the session. To keep them at your normal pressure drop them a few psi. Thats what i have been told anyway.

Take pas fluid, will more than likely boil and lose some
Check oil

Good shout on the pas fluid Adam, will go and get some tomorrow, i do have the pas relocation kit but that might not be bulletproof

I'll maybe try to get there between 10-11.
Might be able to see some of your laps and have a look around.
Then catch up with you between sessions and head home a bit later

Tyres pressures need to be DROPPED mate, and then check the tyres once they are hot

Bet you wish the supercharger fitting was before the trackday ay duff, get some quicker lap times in, the dropping in tyre pressure is correct as the hotter the tyres get the more the pressure increases, have a good day buddy hope all goes well for you
