Just out of curiosity what was the millage on your ST's when it was first picked up from the dealers?
Mine had 80 miles on it???? (why I ask myself) and Darkhayz had 40, dealers reason: they had to test the ST out (twice for mine as they scratched the wheel when the supaguard was being put on.... Only asking this as saw the new cars others have bought on here and some have as little at 9 miles on it.

mine had 3 miles on it, 80 does sound quite a lot, was it a demo car?

I saw a facellift Zetec in a dealership in Brentwood today when i tested the Focus ST. It only had 9 miles on it too. Obviously, Zetecs dont require 'testing out' like ST's!?

35 kilometers on mine but it had been driven from the main branch of my dealer's to the subsidiary where I picked it up (about 30 km) with my approval.

It must have been 10 AM when I picked it up
And it was on March 3rd...

Mine had 8 miles, just over the distance from the car ferry to the dealership!

Mine had 17 miles on it I think when I picked it up. Not really that many. I'd prefer the garage to do a few miles to find any faults first, rather than giving it to me with 1 or 2 miles on it and it breaking down the second I leave the dealer.

Nope not a demo as far as I know. They just said the ST goes through checks with them once they get them delivered cause they are are performance cars etc....

I had 12 on mine, which I thought was good. Anything over 50 is taking to p*ss if you ask me.

I've had a few new cars over the last 15 years and most, if not all have had less than 25 miles on. I suppose it's dependant on the dealer and their location.

Seems a bit high. I'd try to get something out of em like free mats. Mine had 9 miles on it but was taken to the petrol station and back. My previous car had 6!

She got free mats with it anyway lol. One possible reason is some gimp damaged one of the alloys moving it in the garage so they ordered another one, which meant the car had to be tested again? before they would give it to her.

Mine had 160 on it new! not a demo , a range of excuses were given , had to be driven down from a compound , but when they told me where it was it was onlt 35 miles away! It probably explained why i needed a new bumper due to scuffs and chips - typical ford service for you

Mine had about 30 on it, but everything was spotless when I picked it up so I didn't worry.

Mine had about 60 miles on before i picked it up. They had to drive it to a company for the tints to be put in and for a company to put the stripes on.

I'm going to turn the subject around here guys. I've had my car just over 5 weeks and I have done nearly 2500 miles. I think that tells you how much I'm loving 'The Beast'

mine has about 35 miles on it - they had to drive it to a decal place cos they has cocked my stripes up in the factory so they drove it to get them replaced

Mine now has a rather staggering 12,400 miles. Looks like my guestimated 26th jan service is going to be spot on

Tell me about it!! My mum nearly had a heart attack when she heard how many miles I've done!! My mk5 was having a bad year if she broke the 8-9K miles mark!! I have to say though they have been 12,400 enjoyed miles though... Seeing as I'm keeping her for the foreseeable future I might as well enjoy her!

Your quite right, I just wish I could drive mine at the moment

I think you got yours a few weeks after mine and i've only just done 5k! It's been at the garage for the best part of six weeks though and I've put 1000 very boring miles on the courtesy car in that time.

I just noticed happy birthday Ayesha, hope you have a good one!

*lol* Thanks Chris

Whats wrong with the ST? Its all these jaunts to the Cotswolds, Santa Pod, Daventry, Kettering, Birmingham and Silverstone that do it if you ask me! I've often thought about (money & space permitting!) of having a £200 run around but... I dunno... what would I be saving? Petrol? Not really. ST would still need servicing. I'd still mod it. I'd have to run, tax, insure etc 2 cars not one.. S*d it

No, there'd be no point really in getting another car. With the extra costs of running it, no matter how basic (and of course then more likely to go wrong) it wouldn't be worth it. Plus I'm sure you'd prob find it too tempting to be taking the all the time anyways!!!

Amazingly they won't be finished fixing it until next week, but i'm on holiday then anyway so I can't pick it up. They say they have had trouble getting some of the new rear suspension parts because their ST specific and some air con bits, but if thats true I have no idea.

think mine was on 12 miles when I got it... Exactly the same as my bf's Focus ST 170 from the same dealer.... On 10500ish now

My old 2 Clio 1.2's when I picked them up both had exactly 7 miles on the clock

My focus has around 45k now...

I had to insure it for 18k a year... i did so many miles its unbelievable. Atleast its not doing as many now im at Uni. My dad does drive it every week or so which will keep it going nicely... also cleans it

Bring on Easter!!!
