305 miles! That IS impressive. I think the most I've had from a tank, until the light's on, is about 270. There's probably a thread somewhere, but I wonder who's had the most miles from a tank full?

Anyone?

I got 284.1 miles after filling with 38.95 litres of fuel and on a mpg converter site that comes out as 33.1mpg! I have been trying some "thinking ahead" driving, where I try not to change into too low a gear, stick it in 5th (keeping in mind avoiding letting it "knock" when I went too slow) and I drove 16 miles without any bars and finally put some petrol in and read my tripometer.

I dont think that's too bad

Maybe im just sad and keep looking at the petrol bars too much, but I find the first set of bars go down roughly 1 bar every 34 Miles... until it gets to the smaller bars nearer the bottom.

Ive done 15 miles with the petrol light on, then filled up.

I filled up the tank the other day and wanted to see how many miles i could get out of the first bar (by driving carefully!) - in normal driving, it tends to disappear around the 40 mile mark, but this time I managed to squeeze 58 miles from the first bar! It's a shame the other bars don't go down at the same rate!

Incidentally, the second one went after another 25 miles, after a bout of heavy right foot action (after being bored sh*tless for the first 58 miles!).

I've never looked that closely at how many miles exactly you get per bar, but I do tend to agree that they don't go down evenly. The early ones do seem to me to go further than the later ones!

I'm seriously scratching my head because I filled up before I took Arun to pick up his car on Friday and I'm *sure* I havent filled up since, didnt reset the tripometer after the 284.1 miles and I deducted the total miles and that leaves around 320 miles!! I rock!! 8)

If you have managed to get 320 miles out of a tank, with some still left in at the moment (how many bars are left?) then that is quite impressive!
