if your third brakelighy has stopped working will it fail the mot?

great ive got my mot at 8am. do you reckon ford could put a new bulb in if thats it before the mot? blumming things stopped working

I dunno tbh, im fairly sure that ALL cars now have 3rd brake lights so have to be working..........

Someone on here is an MOT tester, i forget who

ive got some bulbs for my old focus so hopefully that'll fit ok on there but some people say it doesnt matter if it doesnt work for the mot. if it does have to then i'll jave to be up at 630 trying to change it

If you're getting Ford to put it in does it matter that much if it fails? They'll just change it, say it failed because of it and then issue a pass. You don't have to pay for another test if you get any faults rectified without leaving the garage.

mine didnt fail, he just gave me a notification thing saying "replace third light bulb"
