I'm currently looking at diesels...
I drive a lot on the motorway to work, but for example I was looking at a Focus 2.0 TDCI, 136bhp and 320Nm torque (can be chipped to about 170bhp easy enough)

So not only is it much more powerful than my ZS, better pull and more economical too

I really think my next car will be a diesel

I need a tractor to pull a trailer. So i'll be purchasing one too before too long.

ive thougt about getting one coz cheaper tax and stuff like that but i dont really do the miles to warrant it. thats pretty good abouy what uou can do to the focuses stevie

only problem is, not many 2.0tdci available in NL, either they are all estates or the hatches are the 1.8tdci

ive done about 22k km in the first year (14k miles) so i should really think about a diesel

thats not so good. do they do importing of cars where you are?

yeah we can, not sure if i can be bothered with it though. but a lot of people do it cause in germany cars are generally cheaper and higher spec, so its worth it sometimes

I've been looking at a 2007 Seat Leon FR 2.0 TDI (170bhp)

at least 16,000 euros (14,000 GBP) here but for you guys in the uk you are looking at 7,000-8,000 GBP

theyre nice cars they are. someone i used to work with had a seat leon reference sport tdi looked like a cupra with twin pipes but was a diesel and that used to fly. What about an ibiza fr diesel are they any cheaper?

If you're after a diesel have you considered a Zetec-S TDCi?

an Ibiza is a bit cheaper but still 12,000 euros (10,000 GBP)

and even though i'm going diesel, I still want more power than what I have now, so a ZS diesel is not an option

Me, tempted by a diesel................... NO!!
