still haven't driven mine much since the upgrade friday. Started it from cold today and it fired straight up, nipped to Halfords one mile away, popped in store and back to car. Started it and it almost didn't start, there seemed to be a pause then it fired, long enough for me to consider for a split second to try again. I remember on here or t'other side someone saying same and suggesting a better way to start up, I can't remember whether it was foot to floor or what.
I always start without any revs which is my normal practice and so far my 185 can be started from cold this way, we know cars that are still warm generally don't fire up again as well after a short break.

I always start up with my foot flat down on the clutch - I see it as a safeguard against me jumping backwards/forwards if I've left it in gear (which I sometimes do if parked on an incline). Very rarely have issues, cold or warm

Someone in another office at work claims I start up with my foot on the accelerator but I don't - think it's just because my car is quite loud

For me no mountune 185 kit but when i start clutch in and some revs! I like the sound low down the rev range just after starting always turns a few heads too!

i have noticed on my zs that if I go for a quick run somewhere then have to start her again, she does struggle to get started again, i just wait a few seconds and try again, no problems

I always clutch down start (have to in the RS anyway) and let your cars warm up for a min and let the revs calm!
I let mine tick over everytime I get in, the turbo warms up and the revs die down

I will try a few different ways, rare that you ever do a restart, maybe petrol station would be the likely place , will try slight press on throttle then fire it.

turn the key wait for the whining sound to stop and you should here a hollow click.

then start the car.

that is the sound of fuel rail filling up ready to spray into the cylinders.

if you go straight to the ignition you will get a splutter/crap fire up, until the fuel rail fills enough fuel to spray in for combustion.

Try it mate

went to work, called at Newsagents, got back in car thinking about how it will start, pushed accelerator down just a little, ignition and fired in a nano second with a nuclear blastwave from the tailpipe , parked behind was a lightweight Clio 182, now on it's roof . I scooted off quick like, quitely of course.

Yeah I agree with Stason. When I started my fez I used to turn it to position 2 and let all the lights come on and go off again. Fuel pump to kick in etc then start!
Cars don't like being rushed you gotta treat them like your lady hahaha

they do it at the start but start to stop doing it after a while, the 60mm throttle body pretty much stops it all together

starting the MR200 sounds like your starting with the accelerator down, it goes to 3k then down to 2 and sits there for a second or 2 then drops right down to idle
