tried the Auto Volume Control in the menu, didn't do anything, set it at +1 and upto +7, nothing happended with the volume, does it only kick in at high speed say on motorway where lot more noise ?

mine was doing all sorts today was driving a long going loud quiet loud quiet when ever there was a little bass it went quiet!

turned that right off!

I never had that in my mk6 but I have it in my mk7 and I like it, don't really notice it until a while after it's gone up and thin I think "did I really turn it up that loud?"

All mk6 facelifts had avc I think! My old radio used to turn itself up a little bit every time I opened the windows lol on the Sony headunit it actually works pretty well though
