Hello everyone,

I am a new member although I have to admit I have been viewing and reading a lot of topics on this forum for a while now. And thanks to all the stuff I read on here I went ahead and bought my performance blue (no stripes) 07 fiesta ST in July. Finally decided to join the community today, sorry it took so long! I am based in the Lytham St. Annes area (near Blackpool) on week days and Manchester on weekends. I have seen quite a few STs kicking about in Lytham, would any of you be on here?
Anyway, I've had the car since mid July, love it. I got such a good deal on it as well that I was able to put some cash aside and save up so next week I am going to book it in for a mountune mp165 pack, and slap some ebiachs on there as well. Spoke to Simon at evans halshaw blackpool already, really nice guy. Just need to book it in now. Very excited because as much as I love the stock car, it just lacks a little ummph for me and its too high. Plus the popping exhaust makes me smile

One question. I've seen that rude racing do super low eibachs. What would you guys recommend? I want it dropped a bit but not loads so I'm thinking standard 35mm springs. Also, where is the best place to order these from? Ford don't provide them any more so I'm going to have to order some and take them along when I get my mp165.

Cheers

Hi Mate Welcome to the site

I think there are a few guys on here up Blackpool way or near there anyways

Great choice on the Mountune kit, i think your find it's like a fever once you get the 165 kit it's only a matter of time before you catch the 185 kit

It's entirely up to you when it comes to suspension, the most prefered kits are the B12 or Eibachs which are recomended by Ford, and funnily enough if you have them fitted ford will cover you on your warranty so thats a plus.

A lot of people have eibachs i think most are on a 35mm-35mm drop which is certainly enough for better handling.

I personally went for a 30mm-35mm drop with Bilstein Shock absorbers on mine which has really improved the handelling.

There are other alternatives other then eibachs; Such as AP coilcovers, Spax springs (45mm-45mm) plenty out there.

You can get the eibachs pretty much anywhere, ebay, performance places etc etc

you can find them on our sponsored traders site Here

Welcome along mate

I'm down the road in Blackpool! I have 35mm Eibach springs on standard shocks so if you wanted to have a look / ride some time let me know

Oh and I got them from Rude Racing...

Mountune is a good choice if you have the cash all at once. I had to build up my mods as I'm not the best saver and just wanted the next mod

welcome to the site mate!

glad your going the mountune route its the right way to go! you will find yourself at stage 3 in no time

i had the 35mm eibachs of my old ST and then transferred them over to the new ST as i loved them so much! i got one of the very 1st sets before they were painted red and have never looked back! don't ever have problems with speed bumps you just wanna go slow but im sure you do even with your standard car!
