Sorry Dave, but i think you've answered your own question. I've had 5 different 's and not one of them had a fault on hill starts.

I found it easier in other cars to keep it dead on the clutch, whereas the with the ST I tend to use the handbrake 99% of the time. I suppose it's a good thing, as I'm not wearing the clutch out?

Doesn't the MT185 make it even harder to start? Someone told me it require a good more amount of revs?

yeah it is a bit but yoi soon get used to it. Mt reckoned id stall it as soon as i got it bit i didnt . I agree with the bite point on tge focus. Mine was near impossible to stall

It's far different to a 1.4. The s clutch is a little tricky... I find all the pedals a little short after driving the focus. I don't get on with the Fiesta Pedels. Sarah's ZS is short aswell and sometimes frustrates me.
