Went and ordered the Osram bulbs in the end as I've been told good things about them...thanks kenny for recommending them. Got them in the post today and thought I'd just pop into the garage down the road from my house and ask if they could do it...did both for £10 so thought better get it done before I get in trouble. Was quite lucky as well, the road was pretty clear on the way home from work so was having a bit of 'fun'. The piper exhaust is anything but discreet and it had an on foot police man staring as I whizzed down the road with 1 front light on and my front fogs on to compensate (illegal I know). Don't think he could do anything other than give me a look (lets hope).
Anyway...got the bulbs fitted. Passenger side went in no problem, the drivers side was a pain though. They first tried by unscrewing the coolant tank but didn't have much luck as the bulb didn't want to go in. So they had to take the light off which was also a nightmare...not easy at all! Got there in the end but it took 2 of them and me in the background hoping they don't scratch anything. As for the bulbs...they're really good! I got to compare them to the original one as we switched the lights on when the passenger side one was fitted with the stock one in the drivers side. Makes such a huge difference. The light is a lot whiter. Not completely white with that blue-ish tint, but noticeably whiter than original bulbs. But the massive difference comes from in the car when you realise how crap the original bulbs actually were! These osrams light up the road soooooooo much better with such a clear white light.
