Hi Guys,
Tonight when I finished work I started up my car and saw that one headlight wasn't working...however when I put it onto the full powerful blinding high beam the bulb that isn't working lights up. Anyone know what's going on...dead build or something worse?

the bulbs are twin filament, your dipped beam filament has blown but your full beam hasn't, get your bulb changed

Thanks for the super fast response guys...and phew thats good news. Was worried it was something worse. Anyway, there seem to be lots and lots of threads floating about with talks about bulbs and stuff. But can someone please post me a link, or just tell me, which bulbs it is I need to buy? I think I want to go for those cool white/blueish colour lights you see on the more 'expensive' cars but from the threads I see there are some bulbs which are illegal and some which are not. Could someone please tell me what is legal and what is a good brand...I see people talking about phillips kits but I have nooooo idea what I need. Also would it be better to change the side lights in the headlamps as well, or would it look ok with them just the standard colour. Thanks

the blue looking bulbs on the newer cars are xenons or HID's, i have them but the kit is about £130 there are various bulbs that looks whiter than the normal yellow, these ones are apparently pretty good http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PHILIPS-H4-DIA...4#ht_500wt_1287and side lights you want LED lights

ooo £130 for a kit is steep. Why is it called a kit...is it not just bulbs? Also thanks for the link but the description says it is not UK road legal. Are there any like that which are road legal? Also what exactly should I be looking for...I see lots on team torque steer and they have options like H1, H7 etc, but which one fits the ST?

Thanks mate. One last question before I buy (need to get it right)...you've given me H4 bulbs, are these 100% the right ones as I have no idea what I need, and I only ask as there is a bulb finder on that site where you put in your car (just as a fiesta) and it came up saying I needed dipped H7 and main beam H1.
Also which is better, the Osram or the Phillips?
