With cost and safety both being equal...

Given the choice, What would you choose? A crappy looking car that goes like stink or a stunning looking are with the oomph of a leaf blower? Performance vs Looks
Performance or Looks
Only one choice allowed

Dont know what to make of this as its a very hard question to ask.

Great Performance with Safety?

Looks with Expense?

It has to be a Mid Range for me... Both.

sorry tried to make it more clear.

Basically i'm wondering whether people prefer posing in their cars the to excitement of driving.
Obviously having both would be nice!

I've gone great performance, but it's fairly marginal. Tough question as I valus both fairly equally, but if the car is cheap then I am not bothered at all as it becomes functional and looks become irrellivant. I had a £500 Astra GTE that was seriously quick but it didn't look great. I did 16000miles in 6months in it and it was fabulous. If it comes to spending a lot of money though looks are much more important but performance just pips it. Dave & Scotty would say I definitely prefer performance over looks as I like the Civic Type-R!

Performance all the way for me. The fact that my car looks great too is a bonus!

Of course both, but I've chosen looks over performance mainly because thats what I have now.

I would have to say performance, especially cornering ability.

Says the man who wants it in Red so he can be seen.

Thing is, what car has looks but no performance? I can't think of many.

I hate the TT, never seen what the fuss was about (flattened Beetle, which I equally despise).

That 3.2l model is shockingly poor! I'd go for the far cheaper and far superior Nisan 350Z.

I do worry if you thiink the Celica and MR2 are poor performers.

Even the TT's with powerful engines are nowhere near as fast you would expect. Many hot hatches would put them to shame.

The 350Z slaughtered the TT on track, even with only RWD.

Given the fact that there are not many performance cars, that are realy ugly, I would say performance. And while I'm driving the hell out of it, I can't see the outside anyway!
