Pagid Vs Mintex (Pads + Discs)

Got my MOT next week and I think the brakes are the only things that might fail! I'd have a look on EuroCarParts and a full set of Pagid disks and pads all round is around the £120 mark, however I've seen on eBay a full set of Mintex disks and pads for £150?
I don't know much about Pagid other than Porsche use them? Mintex are ones I've heard of but I've only kept my other cars a year so I've never changed from OEM pads and disks.
Can anyone recommend either of these (either for or against) or suggest others that might be better for around the same price?
Cheers chaps!

i cant comment on the pagid ones but i warped my mintex discs in 3000 miles, they overheated on the track badly so i changed them to apex discs and pads and they are great now... im using mondeo front brakes though

Mintex - Pretty good. These are what we use on most of our customers cars.
Pagid - Again, as Mintex, very good, decent price and they'll do a good job.
Apex - Price these up. By far the best.
If I had to choose between the top two, I'd go Mintex.

It depends. If you clean and grease evrything well, it's never a problem. But, this can happen with any friction pad so I wouldn't let that put you off.

Yikes. Seems rather steep. Going to ring our supplier tomorrow and ask for a price out of curiosity.

Stash you have linked to standard fiesta disks.... st disks are 280mm diameter not 258mm. that site has same error as ECP. like i said, don't get caught out edit: your supplier? you haven't been fitting these 17 quid 258mm disks to customers ST's have you? lol

Lol, internet is useless.
I don't buy my car parts online. Far to much hassle if they are wrong, as above lol.

Well had the MOT on Saturday and it passed fine! So I'm going to save a bit and swap them after Christmas for some Apec!

Quote:
Minxet are well known for serious squeaking if I remember
i still have Mintex pads on mine and they squeak all the time, even if you grease them up, after a few days it comes back. BUT in fairness because i have grooved & drilled discs then it will cause a lot of vibration and brake dust which can lead to the squeaking :/ still wouldn't recommend them though!
