Get some photos up, would really help. My piper is hanging and leaning a bit towards the centre. I believe that's an issue with the hangings as a member mentioned to me this evening.

when you got your back box fitted was this before or after the rear diffuser was put on?

Mechy should of align it up correctly to the hole, mine took a while getting it flush.

The hair like material, which i believe to be fibre glass which is like hair, this is from your silencer/muffler, it's a sure sign that the exhaust inside has corroded and soon needs to be replaced.

If you don't replace it there is a chance deadening material will block the exhaust and cause a loss of power as more back pressure and fumes will build up.

Worst case Scenario

i can't remember correctly now if the st has a silence before the cat back, if you have a silencer on the piper cat back it could be faulty if you have the standard ST silencer there is a chance it may be that.

i suspect the new piper cat back you have brought is faulty, badly put together as you shouldn't have any fibre glass coming out at all.

i'd notify the seller, there is a possibility that whats coming out is excess padding that has been left in the cotainer that hasn't been stuck down.
