As usual sat in my chair working nights, I get bored and have started looking further into urban legends and myths, and although I know some people have tried to pass these stories onto me either knowing or not they were myths, I've found some stories that good friends of mine told me and I genuinely thought they were true, but have just read them on the web and I was not happy with them. The main one was-
(names made up)
Dave at my work got a call from his cousin last night. Her best mate lucy was out with her friends for her birthday and she met a bloke in the club called alan who asked her to go home with him but said she wantedto stay with her mates and got his number and planned to meet him a week later for a drink, gave him a kiss and carried on with her night. 3 days later Lucy got a horrible rash on her face and went to the doctors to see what it was. He struggled to diagnose it but eventually realized what it was and asked Lucy if she had kissed anyone lately. Lucy replied she kissed Alan in the club and the doctor then asks if she got his number and it was very important rang the police as the rash was from a type of bacteria only formed on dead bodies and when the police went to Alans house, there was 2 dead bodies in his bed he sleeps with and he must of been looking for a 3rd.

Far fetched, yes, but when you hear things from close mates you beleuve them and I just rang my mate and he thinks it's real too but it's obviously not as this story has been changed and passed around for years.

Is there any Stories that you have been told that you believed for some time, or have you got any cool urban legends to share with us all??

i have one story which freaked me out massively when i heard it.

my dad was brought up in Birmingham and he told us a story of a group of kids that he used to play with after school back in the early 60's.

one of them wasn't well off at home dad used to be a drunk and beat his wife up, he was a troubled child.

anyways this childs father came back from the pub pissed out his face and started knocking his wife around and killed her, he was so emotionally broken after doing it left a note on the kitchen table called the police and apparently just ran head first out of the bedroom window breaking his neck on the pavement outside.

also died.

This kid who was 11 at the time just disappeared never to be seen again.

30 odd years down the line my dad is in a pub with his brother in Cannock, where my auntie lives currently

guess who taps him on the shoulder...

My dad had no idea who he was at first but apparently he said it was like speaking to a ghost, just couldn't believe it.

really sad story the guy lived in poverty until he was taken into a children's home off the streets.

The guys still a live, married with 4 kids

supposingly so according to my dad i've never met the chap but 30 years is a bloody long time how the guy remembered my dad or why he was in Cannock at the time and in the pub it's all just spooky.

police thought he was murdered by his father when he was young and buried after he was reported missing and never found.

edit probably haven't told the story exactly to the word but definitely true though.

One I hear on occasions and just pretend i've never heard it before and laugh is:

"One of my friend's grandmas had a cat that died recently. She phoned up the vet who said to bring the cat into the surgery for it to be disposed of correctly. The problem was that the grandma didn't have a car so she decided to put the cat in her rucksack and take the bus to the vets. Just as she was getting on the bus with the rucksack in her hand, a young lad ran up to her, punched her in the face knocking her over and stole the rucksack. Bet the chav had a right shock when he got home thinking he'd stolen something valuable."
