Well i fitted mine the other day at 1pm, one was blown by 5pm (kenny you were right ) I think it was my own fault tho because i might have accidentally touched the bulb as i put it in

BUT even tho I only have one light on, they are great pics ppl have put up done do them justice they look exactly like H.I.Ds. I also got some sidelight L.E.Ds to match

So I'm gonna buy another pack and replace and then i have 1 spare £8 aint to bad, my last bulbs cost my £25! Then i found them on fleabay for £12

Link for the baby blue LED sidelights? The Blue LED sidelights I have are so blaitantly illegal it's not even funny lol. I went with those xenon gas sidelights you suggested in the end which go well with the 7ks but not very bright if you just have the sidelights on.

I think this photo does them justice:

I find with mine I love how they look but in my Audi drl lights they don't light up the road for anything. Actually thinking of going back to my much brighter Philips blue visions

fitted last night and drove to work in the dark this morning
so far I gotta say i'm not impressed

old normal philips bulbs...

"New" HOD bulbs...

the field seems to have changed so much
is it the same for those who fitted them?
although I do have pre-facelift, but still seems strange that the field of light has changed so much

Which could be classed as a good thing.

Can't be as bad as the HID's in my MK5. They didn't last long at all.

the philips are not off putting at all hence why they won best bulb 2010/2011 and this year/next year will be osram as there new range is very good

also the phillips/osram range give the same pattern as standard bulbs just a clear whiter light

i think i will be putting some other lights back, not the ones I had though as they were too yellow, shame really as I bought 2 sets of HODs

i think it must be the pre-facelift lights cause nobody else has this problem, only thing is they have facelift lights

Alan your st is facelift isn't it? The only easy way to change bulbs on a facelift is to take the headlight out completely so you can just change everything in one hit. It's almost impossible to change the bulbs while they're still on the car

You did take the whole headlamp out didn't you?

its all really simple to do mate. maybe to late to do it now but you should do it tomorrow.

take badge grill off then take out all 3 screws on each headlamp... pull headlamp out, dont be shy with it. change over all bumbs.... put headlamps back in, yet again dont be shy we giving them a bit of a shoving.

take 30min tops

You probably haven't even blown a bulb mate I reckon you've just disconnected the cable into the bulb. To detango you'll need opposite pin 382 bulbs. Something like these will do the job http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Front-I...f#ht_1056wt_804
