lol...i give up, cant even unclip it, just cant get my head in to see how it unclips. so put it all back together and the dipped beam on one side is'nt working now, so messed right off.
whats the famous saying....if its not broke, then dont try to fix it, yeh its come true.

Alan your st is facelift isn't it? The only easy way to change bulbs on a facelift is to take the headlight out completely so you can just change everything in one hit. It's almost impossible to change the bulbs while they're still on the car

its all really simple to do mate. maybe to late to do it now but you should do it tomorrow.
take badge grill off then take out all 3 screws on each headlamp... pull headlamp out, dont be shy with it. change over all bumbs.... put headlamps back in, yet again dont be shy we giving them a bit of a shoving.

You probably haven't even blown a bulb mate I reckon you've just disconnected the cable into the bulb. To detango you'll need opposite pin 382 bulbs. Something like these will do the job http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Front-I...f#ht_1056wt_804

They're probably fine in standard headlights I'll agree but in my r8 lights not good at all Philips ftw tbh
