Can't seem to find any posts about this !

What do we think about the next generation ST ? Personally I prefer the MK6 !

I heard its going to be a 1.6 turbo with around 180 bhp

I've seen too many MK7 fiesta vans flying about, every time I see one that isn't a van, it still is one in my head....that kinda makes sence ;D.

Every MK7 I see is a white zetec s, really popular up here. I'm not keen on buying popular cars so sort of puts me off !

I'm sure I read it does 0-60 in 6. Something seconds, it's a 1.6 ecoboost with 180bhp

Yep a turbo, just got this from my car buzz app

Ford's new 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline 4-cylinder engine will also be equipped on the concept just like its European counterpart, putting out a solid 180hp and 177lb-ft of torque.

Also it mentions a 6 speed gearbox this time.

Bad times, I wonder if that engine will fit in our ST . 6 speed gearbox would be nice too.

They aren't gonna bother making a slower one surely!
They are a few posts about this already
But nothing 100% yet from what I've read so far

Either way it's gonna be around £17k new so would be better off getting a second hand focus rs!

Not a fan of the shape but the engine however i like a lot.

because i can see this engine being a lot more flexible with aftermarket packages.

displacement can be increased to 2.0 and it's forged already to handle a turbo.

so the engine should be a lot less quieter than we are known to in this mrk 6 st.

the new fiesta is nippy and quick certainly wont be slower

I cant see it being greater than 7.5 to 60 or even much quicker than our standard ST's. but as stanson said im sure there will be some good performance packages around - im looking forward to test driving one anyway.

cool, yeh i could see it having a 0-60 of around 6ish seconds similar to the likes of the corsa vxr and simialr spec cars.

I prefer the looks of the zetec S. Slap on better rims (maybe an inch bigger), lower it, dual exhaust and maybe a rear diffuser like the focus RS rather than that odd looking red thing they have now...and you've got a pretty cool looking car.

Like this

Yes I know it is a photoshop mock up but to me it looks waaaaaaay better than that concept. If it looks like that I'll be tempted...throw in a good mountune performence pack and I'll be putting my name down for one.
