Red bulls get off sanctions on technicality again

I noticed something on the bbc coverage yesterday. When they showed the redbull car in the garage one of the engineers stood infront of the exhaust. They had one pipe running to the top as per regulations and another running down the side of the car pointing down at the diffuser. Surley now allowed?
I can't get a pic from the iplayer but it was at the start of the show.

Listening to the stewards conclusion, they believe it's illegal but the wording of the rules isn't clear enough to say that the car is illegal.

Some decent stuff today and fair play to Alonso for another good win. Just a pity that Button couldn't quite get a move past him in the last fifteen laps before his tyres dropped off towards the end. We'll just have to see what the stewards decide over Vettel's move into second near the end.

Big postive that both McLarens showed a lot more pace today than recently.

Been announced that Vettel has been given a 20 second penalty added to his time for the incident with Button, which puts Button back up to second.
