Awesome drive from all involved to be honest. Was good to see Vettel not pull out his usual lead and face competition throughout the whole race.

Usual Vettel moany-bastard over the team radio though. This time it was Karthekayan's fault that Lewis overtook him (despite there being nowhere safe to pull over on that section), still doesn't retract from the fact that Lewis was on fire yesterday, he would have caught up enough within another lap or two so Karthekayan merely accelerated the inevitable, and when passed, Vettel couldn't take the place back from Lewis.

I think until he learns to grow up and accept that these things happen he won't become what I would class as a "great" racing driver. One thing that will always stick in my mind is him ordering his team to do something because he couldn't overtake traffic earlier in the season.

Impressed with Button and Massa too - got a lot of respect for Massa to accept the gearbox penalty with his head held high.

Shame for Webber, when will Renault fix that alternator?

Got to say though, the American's really pulled it out of the bag - what a great track, and a great watch last night.

I thought it was a brilliant race and the track has the potential to become one of the classics.

Alonso did well to get up so far even with helping hand he received from Massa. I know there are people that weren't happy with what happenned, and in a way i can understand, but if anyone has complaints it should be with the rules rather than Ferrari - what they did was within the rules and was just as legal as what Red Bull did with Vettel when they got him to start in the pit lane two weeks ago. With Vettel second it hasn't really changed things too much in the championship and it sets things up for next weekend.

Hamilton had a brilliant race all weekend and was a worthy winner. If McLaren hadn't had the reliability problems with Button on Saturday, which is what has let McLaren down too often this year, then who knows if they might have been looking at a 1-2. I did think yesterday when we'll see Hamilton on top of the podium again (if ever?). It did seem on the podium that him and Whitmarsh were on good terms again, unfortunately a bit too late. I know he's in the background now but it's a pity IMO that Ron Dennis couldn't have banged some heads together as neither of them will be better off without the other.

If this is true then it's a shame to lose cars of the grid

It's a shame, but if we face facts, who's going to want to buy a team which consistently fight for last and second to last place?

Karthekayan's out of a race seat again next year then. At least Mr Moany Vettel will be happy.

It is sad to see any teams go. Even if they're not competitive it still reduces the chances for potential good drivers of the future to come through. Unfortunately in the current climate I can see why it's difficult for the small teams to keep going, and hope it isn't just the start.

Be interested to see how long Marussia stick around. Caterham are obviously trying to move forward but I'm not sure about Marussias future intent atm
