birmingham isnt too bad as you only end up going along the m6 then a14 all the way to the village meet up point! northampton is a45 towards wellingborough (i think) then onto the a14

I reckon Ellington is about 45-50 mins from Northampton. According to Google Maps, you should go via Birmingham or Reading/Luton as the suggested route, so it's up to you really. You could make a slight detour from either route to stay in Northampton or you could stay in Birmingham with everyone who is already booked in there. Up to you
