Hi My first post on the forum - have been looking in for a few weeks now. I was going to buy a Fabia vRS as my second car until I saw an ST in my local garage. Amazingly I've only ever seen one other ST on the road around here. I had a nightmare getting a testdrive. Eventually, over a month later, I managed to get a short run in a brand new car that a customer was going to pick up later Therefore I couldn't really give it any stick. However, I was very impressed and really want one. A few questions: Do you reckon it's worth going for ESP? I'd like the reflex pack (and I think these sort of safety devices should be standard on a car like this) but in the Ford price list I've got it says you can only get this with ESP. This contradicts the Ford website which gives two separate prices. Am I too old (40 this year ) to be driving around in a car like this? What about the privacy glass? I've seen someone on here say it's stops them being blinded by xenons but I don't want to look a chav! I'll be going for performance blue with no stripes. All the best Steve

Thanks for all the replies.
Seems I'm not quite the oldest on here!
BTW I test drove the Fabia vRS today. Apart from the in gear acceleration, which is amazing, I was very disappointed with the rest of the car. Totally uninspiring - the wife agrees too!
So, a Fiesta ST for me then!

Hi Steve, Don't worry about your age, I'm 47 & have a new 06 , white with side stripes only. I havent got ESP but the car's handling is superb & I do give it some through the bends. Did'nt want the privacy glass with the white but I do think it looks good with blue. If you're getting a new one the Bluetooth control is a must have option. I only had Bluetooth & stripes as options & got them for nothing in the deal + top money on my trade in. I've done 550mls so far with no probs, engine's a bit tight still but feels very torquey. Only downside I can see is all the kids want to race you!! Get one & enjoy
