Is it not illegal for cyclists to have a flashing light on their bike? I'm sure it used to be.
Either way it's very distracting!!

I had one behind me with a blue flashing light. From a distance I thought it was an emergency service so kept looking in my rear view mirror to get ready to move over when they got near me. Only realised it was a cyclist when they went past me while we were stopped at traffic lights, going through the light when it was on red.

I always thought the law was if u had just the flashing light on your bike it was illegal, if it was a 2nd light, the 1st being a standard light then you're ok

I may be wrong tho..............

I've always respected you guys on the road i've always given enough space but in Cambridge i'm getting tired of people resting on my car and cutting me up on their penny farthings.

There needs to be harsh penalties for cyclists that don't use lights/ reflective clothing at night!
I respect cyclists and always give them space. I used to cycle to work and it's not fun when wingmirrors clip your handle bars.

I almost wiped a guy out earlier in the week. Coming out of basingstoke on the a30. No streetlights and this guy had no lights, black clothes and no reflectors on the bike

I spotted him about 5 car lengths away and luckly nothing was coming the other way!

Had some problems with two cyclists who were cycling side by side on a busy road chatting away to each other. While other cars were waiting 5 minutes a time for gap on the other side of the road to overtake I just drove past staying on my side of the road. I saw a few flailing arms in my rear view mirror but at the end of the day I'm not waiting while two guys are talking about the weather while holding everyone up.

Stason, I know exactly where your coming from!!

It's because the students are not allowed a car within 3 miles of the uni, so they all have to cycle! I hate the ones that are on the path and just cycle across a turning without even looking! That happens a lot!

Stason what do you mean resting on your car?

If a cyclist rested on my car I would run him over on purpose.

pretty sure, the light must be capable of fixed mode.

Myself and many more are now using powerful rear lights during the daytime.
