No loss of power for sports cat!!! and a noticeable difference between a cat and a decat sooooo buy a sports cat!!!! plus u will get fined ,if found by vosa, with a decat!!!

Of course there is a loss of power from a sports cat, it's a restriction over a decat, not as big as the standard cat, but still a restriction

+1

I imagine you wouldn't see a noticeable difference, but putting a sports cat in place of a decat pipe would cause a restriction of some kind surely? And therefore a loss in power.

What gains does a sport cat give over a standard cat?

Someone recently did a test on the RS and rolling roaded the same car with standard cat, sports cat and a decat... The results are fairly obvious

Whether its noticeable or not is another thing, obviously a higher horse power car it will release more ponies so be more noticeable

I also read that a sports cat wouldn't lose power compared to a decat.

...I'm not saying I believe that though

Making a de-cat for mine tomorrow, so long as I can find the right sized nut for the O2 sensor so that I can put this back on the exhaust to stop the CEL coming on. Will let you all know how it goes..
