They're like HALF the price (thanks Rob) of Milltek and the like, but what are the disadvantages?

Less power gains?
Not as nice sounding?
Harder to fit?
Heavier?

They are probably just made of inferior materials tbh................

Haha good spot :P

And I'm wondering if the inferior materials thing is even true?
My first thought was, I've not known anyone on here with one of these exhausts, so maybe they're no good, but then again, maybe no one has them as they're afraid to try them?

Plus, I see them selling on ebay all the time, so someone is obviously buying them

Its a viscous circle isn't it.............. they may be be perfectly good items but no one will take a risk.

Give one a try

I very well may do.
There's a decat manifold going for 40 quid with an hour left (guessing it just means that it works with a decat?) and a normal one going for 30 quid, but with like 3 days left. The last one that I saw auctioned went for 72 quid I think it was! And they're priced at 140-170 if they're "buy it now"

Then there's cat back systems going for like 200 or so, and they say that you'll get the items from the pics, which when you take a look are back box, centre section, AND sports cat???! So really, you could be looking at a full system for less than 400 quid, or even less if you bid!

tbh, im trying to see how say a 304 grade ally used on one exhaust would be any different to the 304 grade on another makers exhaust.
theres no doubt in my mind that miltek are one of the best, but i would of though you are also paying for the brand name.

My thoughts exactly! I think if you're gonna be getting like, 25 horses (just for argument's sake) from a full Milltek system, you might get like 20 or something from the non-brand system. But they are both 304 as you say... And paying less than half price for a full system is pretty tempting tbh!

Well I'd say get a Milltek but I'm extremely biased. It is very refined though not at all intrusive inside the car but makes an awesome sound when you plant your right foot. It is expensive but you certainly get what you pay for

Wouldn't do it personally, its not just metal quality, its also weld and build quality
Bad welds and bad engineering is going to affect performance and lifetime of the part

The reason you pay more for a milltek is the name.... they are known to know what they are doing, they will be designed much better

And about the build quality:
It may not be as good as Milltek/Scorpion/etc but would it be worse than standard?
