Looking to book up a boys weekend in the Summer in Newcastle...............

Anyone local have any decent recommendations for clubs/restaurants/hotels etc

Probably gonna fly up if not train so won't have a car when we're up there

I go every year! Cant beat the good old geordie accent! and there girls are amazing!

Go to whitley bay and book a room at the rex hotel....nice and cheap and a good hotel been there a few times.

newcastle centre is a £20 taxi drive away from whitley but the whitley stretch is brilliant anyway. Just be wary of the yobbo's up there, some cocks about.

Sounds promising, may be a little far out tho, dunno yet, will have a look.

i left the country when i was 16 so was never at the age of going out drinking

I was there a month ago mate, you should go to a bar called sinners, treble vodkas are £2.50! Also try Sam Jacks. Half 3 in the afternoon and they had strippers on in there. Mental

Just head for an area called the gate, thats where both those bars are as well as a load of others. Quite near the train station as well if u decide to get that instead of flying

If you want the true Newcastle experience then the Bigg Markets the place to head for half naked gagging for it Georgie Shore type girls..... Loads of bars and clubs.......... The best 2 clubs IMHO have gone, there was the boat on the river with its rotating dance floor and for rock fans there was The Mayfair..... I moved away from up there in 1997 went back at Christmas and a few things had changed but the Bigg market was still the crazy place it always was lol ...... Enjoy, oh and be carefull

Shearer's bar at St James' Park was ok to watch the footy in during the day but couldn't comment on it at night.

The Gate has a few decent bars and a Casino ) It's also near to Tiger Tiger and Sam Jacks which were great. Sam Jacks isn't a strip club or anything but there was some topless dancing going on during the day which I hadn't expected

Revolution was good as was Flares

To be honest I didn't go in one bad place. It was probably the best weekend ever. I'm still recovering...

Don't let 'Hostel' put you off. It was nicer than some Travelodges / Premier Inns I have stayed in. The shower nearly knocked me over it was so powerful. Cheap enough too - half price pints in the bar when I was there
