My day went a little something like this:
Early start, left the house at 4:45am for a three hour drive down to Essex. Got there a little early so had a Maccy Ds breakfast!
Went into Mountune at 8am and was greeted by Doug who confirmed everything that needed doing and he took me into the waiting room and showed us how the coffee machine worked. 6 hours was a hell of a long time to stay in one room (even though there is a TV with a DVD player, car magazines and other cool mountune stuff) we decided to go into Romford and watch a few films to pass the time. After a sit down and a drink, we went to watch the first showing of Skyfall (excellent film) and that was a good three hours, we had some lunch and then I was getting a phone call saying the car was ready! I was dreading the 6 hour wait, but time flew, so I would highly recommend going to watch a film or something in Romford.
Got back to Mountune at around 2:30pm and paid for the work. We asked Doug if there was any chance of a tour, he said there might be some confidential work going on out back, but he would check. He came back after 10mins (getting stuff covered up and out of the way I bet

). He explained everything they did, race teams, helping ford design various cars etc which I didn't know before. We saw some VERY nice cars in their workshop. There was one thing I wanted to see more though, my car. He took us out the front and I took a look under bonnet and saw the lovely inlet in all its glory!

I fired up the car and was met by a very nice noise, and I noticed the cams making the idle quite lumpy. I said my goodbyes to Doug and pulled away, as other people have said, the noise is immense, the videos do NOT do this inlet justice. The drive home was utter hell, start stop traffic on the M25 with the cams made it feel like there was a kangaroo under the bonnet, I'm pleased to say the more I drive the car the better this gets until it's now almost gone, pulling away with the MR200 is no different to my 165 kit. The cams grumble a tiny bit more when slowing down, but it's not a problem at all. I'm still running in the cams, so haven't really pushed the car above 4.5-5k rpm at all, which is where the cams kick in!
I was driving around town yesterday and the amount of people who turn their heads once you give it a boot full from low down is funny to watch, don't think I'm going to get tired of that! The car pulls so much harder now, it's unreal

A bit of a long post, but I'm just starting on my MR200 journey, towards the end of this week I will be pushing it to see what it can really do
