did you try the comparison sites? My policy was less through compare the market than going direct to the company with the EXACT same details

Greenlight quoted me £1800 (I went with admiral for £700 so work that one out), Adrian Flux were well over a grand as well- neither have ever been even near good for me but people on here seem to do well with them

Yeah I've been on the comparison websites, best they can do is £1400 with current inusrance climate.

Aviva can't quote me online, always a good start haha.

Flux are ringing me back today as are greenlight. Skyinsurance is looking like my only hope, they've quick quoted me £1000.. might change when they call though.

Thing is I'm proper pissed off now. I've always paid car insurance, tax and MOT and I've never been done speeding or had a claim and yet I may as well be treated as a new driver. I'm not even young. Yet there's people who get insurance for 600-800 quid who are younger than me.

Another great example of broken Britain. I fully accept responsibility for not telling them but it's a joke that I can even be charged over a grand still points or no points.

Good luck mate.

You could always move to Mid Wales.

My renewel this year is £400. That's fully comp, insured on all cars. I'm 24, all mods declared.

Perks of living in a rural area lol.

Adrian Flux will have to give me an exceptional quote for me to consider going back to them. They didn't fight my case one bit when someone rolled back into my car in 2008 and until I sent statements, detailed drawings, blood group and what I had for breakfast that morning they were just accepting the other drivers story. In the end, they told me "you'll just have to accept it was a 50/50 fault claim, there's no point in pursuing it further".

A difficult situation this one. I've never found Adrian Flux helpful or competitive. Admiral are very cheap for young drivers with sporty cars. You'll be hard pushed finding anything cheaper.

Area plays a big part- I'm 22 with 2 years NCB and mine was £750 with full exhaust(same box as just a flexi on it's own), air filter, lowered, tints and external and internal decorative changes

Area plays a massive part nowadays, we did a quote for someone on my car with exactly the same driving history (ncd/convictions etc) but about a mile away from my house and the quote came out at £1300 that's with my staff discount, mine is £670, 21, 1 years ncd and a plus k&n and various cosmetic changes declared

Confused.com just called to apologise for the high quotes, of course they didn't offer to beat them though. They suggested passing it on the bewiser however confirmed they won't be able to reduce it by 500 quid.

This is the cherry on top for me, final straw. I'm so sick of being punished for doing **** all wrong, all that happens in this country. Not just motoring wise either.
