To be honest, i knew this was going to happen. I waited and waited a couple of years and then realised that Ford would yet again bring out a under powered hatchback yet again. 180bhp?? The Corsa VXR, Clio Sport, Golf GTI all are more powerful than that and come out years ago!

It annoys me so much that they have done this again!! Why would someone spend 18k on the new Fiesta ST when they can go and spend that on a used, quicker and much better car like an evo or scooby.

Even spending 2-3k on mountune packages will only get you 30-40bhp? Grrr annoyed but so glad i didnt wait until the new ST came out...yet another disappointment!

+1 but, I'd rather drive a skoda than a corsa.

Just Sayin'

Number 3 should be killed with fire. Quickly. I'd have a mint 350z and change left over with £18k

It is a lot of money to spend £18k for basically a fiesta and you only get 178 bhp you could buy a 2004 renault clio sport 182 for around 3-4k.

The thing is the price of petrol is only going to increase, the road tax will go up for high emitting cars and the price of insurance. The new st is cheaper on road tax and fuel than say an RS, so the two big questions are can you afford to buy the car and more importantly can you afford to run it.

It has potential to be a cracking little car, and I dont doubt that the only place it will disappoint will be in the power (and perhaps that horrible front).

It amazes me that we had the Corsa VXR and clio 182s years ago with more power, and recently Citroens DS4R concept manages to get 260BHP from a 1.6, so why is it Ford are so behind with squeezing more oomph with the ST?

The mk2 RS should be proof to themselves that the rulebook can be destroyed...

I quite love that actually. I mean look at how that front end gently smooths up to the roof! Those seats and interior! Thing is, for that price, well yeah, you might go for something better

only just seen this thanks to jason on fb, and i dont know if its because ive been distant from a fiesta but i really like this. it looks like ford have been listening to the forums and noticing changes we have made in the past. im sure you could get a deal on the price but i reckon when ive finished with my polo, id get one of these for 10k. its just a shame that the price is so high to start with

The Mk7 is going to be a very good car, just wait till you get to drive one before you slate it

I think it's underrated because if you get one with full leather, key-less entry + start and the 1st MT kit it's going to be a lovely car!

Yes I liked the pre-facelift bumper too but just think of getting a massive aftermarket intercooler behind that new grille!

Everything's expensive these days though... Some hotels I've stayed in have bottles of beer pushing £6 quid!
