It's getting better but needs atleast 200bhp in my opinion (mountue kit?) Comeon they have a full 1.6 litre engine to play with. All ready rumors going around about fords 1L 3 cylinder turbo engine that will acheive 177bhp. Seats are nice Will handle really well though:)

Front is rank, needs more aggression, looks too long
Rest is nice, needs 190bhp at least....the clio is 197bhp....and they even had the 182 a long time ago, whats the polo GTI got?

Not an irregular thing for an rs clio to be running under power, seen loads of results where some are running high 60's / low 70's on 182's and seen some 197's about 10bhp under power!

Remap would get it close to 200bhp with panel filter and exhaust surely? Wouldnt buy one new. Wait couple of years and will be half that price easily being ford. Would be nice to be 200bhp standard to compete with renaultsports and type r's. Plus would you really spend that much when you could buy a 2nd hand focus st? Fair enough its a new car but you would spend alot just to get it to type r outputs

You chose 3 hideous comparison cars! Haha. 1. The mk1 RS is so much nicer! 2. It's a mustang. 3. Hideous. Much rather a jap car!

To be honest, i knew this was going to happen. I waited and waited a couple of years and then realised that Ford would yet again bring out a under powered hatchback yet again. 180bhp?? The Corsa VXR, Clio Sport, Golf GTI all are more powerful than that and come out years ago!
It annoys me so much that they have done this again!! Why would someone spend 18k on the new Fiesta ST when they can go and spend that on a used, quicker and much better car like an evo or scooby.
Even spending 2-3k on mountune packages will only get you 30-40bhp? Grrr annoyed but so glad i didnt wait until the new ST came out...yet another disappointment!

It has potential to be a cracking little car, and I dont doubt that the only place it will disappoint will be in the power (and perhaps that horrible front).
It amazes me that we had the Corsa VXR and clio 182s years ago with more power, and recently Citroens DS4R concept manages to get 260BHP from a 1.6, so why is it Ford are so behind with squeezing more oomph with the ST?
The mk2 RS should be proof to themselves that the rulebook can be destroyed...

only just seen this thanks to jason on fb, and i dont know if its because ive been distant from a fiesta but i really like this. it looks like ford have been listening to the forums and noticing changes we have made in the past. im sure you could get a deal on the price but i reckon when ive finished with my polo, id get one of these for 10k. its just a shame that the price is so high to start with

The Mk7 is going to be a very good car, just wait till you get to drive one before you slate it
I think it's underrated because if you get one with full leather, key-less entry + start and the 1st MT kit it's going to be a lovely car!
Yes I liked the pre-facelift bumper too but just think of getting a massive aftermarket intercooler behind that new grille!
Very nice way of putting Andrew

I'm with Andrew on this one, I think it'll be pretty good. Just think how good the MK6 ST is with 150bhp. With 177 on it, LSD, three TCS settings, and mountune sitting waiting, it'll be an awesome car.
