I got this kit from ebay to clay my car for the first time, so i have nothing to compare it too, but i was impressed with it. I cut the clay into two, just in-case i dropped the clay on the floor.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250993890567?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Made a real difference to the car

Megs clay bar is a great place to start.

I use sonus ultra fine clay now and not had any trouble with it.

Top tip with clay is to have a bowl of warm warter to dunk it in. Helps keep it nice and soft

Looks interesting Kenny.

+1 also you won't drop the clay bar on the floor

yep I use warm water, still Megs is quite firm, 3M says for the pro/enthusiast with a medium cut, sounds a bit too severe.

Oh hey there =]
I don't know how I managed to miss this thread but I did lol. I know a little about detailing as previously stated (cheers Lee ) Ive used a couple of different clays, not many though I must admit. I like Bilt Hamber medium, it's easy to manipulate but not too soft and is very effective. You can buy it direct from BH for £10.95 which is a fair price for the bite it has. BH do a soft clay which is easier still to mould but has less bite, both are great though.
Autobrite Direct do a great range of clays too and they are highly rated although I haven't personally used them but I'd stick with the Bilt Hamber ones

am thinking of claying it this year, wasn't done last year, might do it sometime soon when I wash it, will wash it as normal then again and clay it as I go using some spray wash too. Try do this before summer then less to do when I do it's once a year five layers of all sorts of liquids................
