Not a nice job.
Remove the seat for starters, so much easier. At the back of the seat, on the bottom edge, there is a clip that connects the back of the seat cover to the front. Undo this long clip (SNap fit), and the seat cover will come off.
Once inside, remove the foam and you can see the cables. Undo from the top (You'll see how, its easy) and the bottom, same as above, and replace.
Basically how yto do it, but not as easy as it sounds.

Lol.
He'll need it. I swore numerous times when I did two on a standard Fiesta seat.

I would as this will make it so much easier than being cramped in the car.
A socket set, some torx bits (IIRC), some pliers and a few screwdrivers.
Routing the cable wasn't to bad, it was getting the handle at the top that lets the back come forward that was tricky and then fitting the cable to the bottom. I wouldn't say it's hard, more of a fidget.
The handle surround btw has a clip haflway down it. Shine a light tdown there, lift the handle and you'll need a flat head screwdriver down there to push the clip forwards, the surround should then come off.
