Hello all,

I'm new to the Ford scene, spent the last 5 years or so buying and modifying classic mini's in the Surrey area. But after this years cold winter i decided to switch to something more reliable that was still great fun to drive. So i bought a late 2008 performance blue Fiesta

Already started to tinker with it, installed a K&N induction kit and ordered some carbon effect mudflaps from Team Torquesteer. Also added the Liam Doran sticker, being a Rallycross fan Hopefully do a bit more to it in time

Some pics of my car. Basically standard exterior at the moment:

Doran sticker:

I plan on doing a black/ blue theme with it hence the carbon fiber mudflaps. I want to paint the grilles and fog light surrounds black and remove the badge from the front. I also want to put a badge in the front grille, can anyone tell me where you can get them/ how to fix it to the grille?

Fancy changing the alloys too, maybe just get the standard ones powdercoated Panther black, had a quick play on photoshop:

Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get 4 alloys powdercoated?

Lots of questions i know..... Sorry

Powdercoating can be anywhere between £100 and £200 I think depending on where you go and if a refurb is included.

Black wheels will look great

Tom i admire the work on those Mini's are they completed yet or still work in progress?

It's usually depending on where you go £50-£75 an alloy

Firstly welcome Tom! Secondly Halfords paint for the plastics does the trick, primer colour and lacquer all for around £40. You can also do the same for your wheels. You might as well give it a go as you seem very competent with paint and Ive seen some pics of people whove done it themselves and theyve looked good. Saves a lot of money in the long run which can be spent else where

yeah thats the FRS splitter that you will need to cut down to fit the Fez.

Alternatively get one of these that is custom made fro the Fez but is 'based on the FRS splitter'

Thanks, Performance Blue FTW

So got my carbon effect mudflaps from TTS today, fitted the rears already but ran out of time to do the fronts. It took a bit of time to realise that the brackets needed to be bent a couple times as it wasn't very clear to me in the pic that came with the instructions

I photoshopped my wheels black to see what the result would look like when i get around to doing the wheels. Me likey

welcome mate! nice looking ST
an alternative to halfords paint is something called 'plastidip' which Micky and I used on our grills- basically a spray on rubber that is scratch proof and peels off when it needs to. Also it doesn't require sanding or any primer
It is really easy and looks spot on

Just some food for thought

Cheers, sorry it's taken me a while.

Spraying with matte black isn't too difficult, you just gotta make sure you lay enough layers down, otherwise it looks terrible and streaky!

Sounds like some cheap ditch finding tyres too! Never skimp on tyres as these are what keep your car on the road/track! I recommend Avons ZZ3s as do many other Fez ST owners.

Just got my Miltek fitted. Mega grins after going for a drive. However, since getting it back the ABS light and Handbrake warning lights are constantly on. Anyone else had this issue? Any recommendations on what to do? My guess is that something got knocked when the garage was fitting the exhaust? Can't imagine how fitting an exhaust would actually cause issues with the ABS and handbrake :/

When I fitted my milltek the abs light came on for a little while and went off after about half an hour or so give it some time and it should go off. If your lights are still on after that only thing you can do is go back and complain
