How unfair...... I live 50 minutes fro belgium and i have to pay 20000 euro........

Lordy... what have I done?? Ordered 08/01/05 Colour: Performance Blue Options: Nothing extra apart from the colour (cant afford it!) Delivery date: unknown I had my second test drive at SMC Gravesend (the buggers had nicked Crayford's demonstrator) and this lot were much more enthusiastic about offering me stuff. Even got £3750 part ex for my 51 plate Fiesta Flight when they started offering me £2700. Scared the pants off the salesman apparently when I drove it round back roads in Crossways Business Park *heh*

buy one in belgium, import it to the netherlands and your still cheaper as buying one in the netherlands. at my dealer 3 of the 5 st's they sold belong to people from the netherlands  they are all gonna import it to the netherlands

Mmm, you got the ford workers reductioin (dunno how it's called exactly).. don't you need to work at ford yourself for that AND have the car for 6 months registered to that Ford employe? Some very good friends off my brother also work at Ford so if the car after all doesn't need to be registered to that person well..
Btw, I got quoted 14605 EUR for a basic metalic version myself.
you need to be family in law (like my mam is from my uncle, the car is gonna be on my mams her name) son or doughter or married to someone who works at ford to get the ford discount. you dont have to register it 6 months to anyone else his name. just be one of the 3 groups above

in belgium the esp option, but no stripes available yet in belgium

Don't laugh too hard. Those Dutch peeps might have to pay a bit more due to BPM and stuff but their insurance is WAY cheaper as what we Belgians pay. Hell, they can even insure their sportsbikes full omnium (all risk) while I cannot even get my GS500F (which is a true beginnersbike) insured like that. Oh and their all risk is only a tad higher then our normal BA!

I'm 27 and pay £450 allrisk (fully comprehensive) for my Mondeo ST TDCi with my 22 year old fiance on the policy, and £600 for her MG ZR 160. That's with Full No claims on each.
My motorbike (VFR400R) however costs only £160. poohbear - I learnt to ride on the GS500, that's unbelieveable that you can't get full cover.

I know Belgian insurance companies are total rip-offs. Not ANY insurance company offers full cover on ANY motorcycle AT ALL.
And to top it all off.. I'm gonna be paying over 2000 EUR to get proper full cover insurance on this ST. That's with bonus malus 8 (belgian stuff, we all start at 11 then every accident free year go 1 down, every accident 4 up, so basicly this means 3 years no claim) and my 26 years. And that's the cheap insurance.. been quoted 3000 EUR aswell!
