Hey Both,

M-Sport is very quickly coming up. Only 5 days away!

I need to know what time we are going to meet and where abouts.

Maybe we can meet up at Hilton Park services on the M6 just past Junction 10a?

You guys will be coming up the M40 and onto the M42 then M6 or M5 depending on where you are staying over on Thursday Evening in Brum.

NOTE:*****DO NOT GO MORE THAN 70MPH ON THE M42, THERE IS AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS ON EVERY GANTRY AND IT WILL CATCH YOU, LOOK OUT FOR THE SPEED CHANGES ALSO... I'LL SAY IT AGAIN... DO NOT GO FASTER THAN THE SPEED******

Chris is staying over the night in Brum (cos he might get tired, bless), but I'm being a real man and doing the whole journey on Friday. Hilton Park Services sounds good to me, I'll check with Cris to see if it's ok with him, what time are you thinking of meeting there?

PS Thanks for the tip about the M42

I'll second that. Also BEWARE!! The cameras can be located on the back of gantrys where the speed limit reduces. I.e. it will be indicated on a gantry that it reduces from say 70 to as low as 50, and the speed camera will be on the back of that same gantry. So keep a close eye out as to what the limit is at any one time.

Deff not in Rush hour as thats a nightmare on the M6 but as early as possible so we can make the day of it rather than getting there and then having to go to bed and missing the whole day.

Also a new gizmo they are doing on the M25 is average speed cameras. How many times have you gone a "little" over the limit through roadworks only to slow when you see the yellow box? Now they have two tiiiiiiny cameras on an over head stand (looks like a street lamp but extands across all carriage ways) and they take your average speed. Do more than the 30, 40, 50 etc and you're done.

M6 Stafford is a little bit further north than junction 10a (hilton park services), its between junctions 14 and 15. Its only about 19 miles further north though, so I'd guess it might be best if you just waited there Chris, for everyone else to meet you.

Ok... the time is nearing rapidly!!!

I shall not be available for probably all of tomorrow due to me driving down to Portsmouth in the morning and returning back home in the evening and having to straight to bed after that.

I have drawn a little map up of where you can pull off the motorway and meet up with me Gareth.

This is JUNCTION 4 (FOUR) of the M6.

What you need to do is keep to the LEFT, THROUGH ALL THE JUNCTONS as it gets a little messy, firstly with the Toll road and then loads of M42 signs.

Keep turning off, left, left, left until you go up to the roundabout and follow the arrow!!!

This is a real easy and simple place to meet up... its not a slip road as such but its quite a convinient place to meet. Its just next to the M42 flyover and it will be really easy for us to get back on with own journey.

One thing I wanted to ask you Gareth. You will be getting to me at a busy time of the day, the M6 motorway is a pile of crap anyway as its got so many bumps on the raised motorway bits for miles I wanderd if you wanted to go up the M6 Toll as its a really nice drive up there... I think its around £3 or something?

Chris, when you read this I need to know the address of the Travel Lodge you are at so I can map a route there!!!

Thx Guys!!!

Nice one Scott, don't suppose you have a post code for this slip road so I can put it in my sat nav.

Also the M6 Toll sounds a bloody good idea.
