Hopefully these are quick:

1) How do you remove the rear ford badge? I need to 'dechrome' it ready for overlays and would prefer to take it off the car than to mask up. Solved!

Boot open
undo 3 screws on the trim, then yank it off as the rest is clips
from inside push the 'sticks' of the badge out
lots of force needed since very strong glue/tape is used

2) Is there a way to bodge a catalytic converter (I avoided the word CAT on purpose...) onto a 4-2-1 manifold to put through an MOT. I say bodge because i'd book it in with the guy at the mot place to do it and clear the code, then MOT the car, and then put the decat back on all in one hit if he can, and if not, there is an exhaust place not far that would be happy to oblige.

Why do you want to dechrome the badge to fit the overlay? It just goes over the top! Don't know about number 2 get a sport cat you bum!

I don't want a sports cat just for the mot!

because you can see the chrome edges...which I do not want...I may do the ST badge to but I know that is just glued on

Where do you live mate? I've got a cat from when I removed my milltek catback. It's on ebay at the min for 50 quid I think.
