welcome, nice cars there, I didn't have an XR2I but did have three XR2's and an RS1800. Get your mate to register too, we have some good Sticky topics for mods and such, also joing up proper for a few quid for full access.

Not a great many mods, its expensive enough keeping on road, Bridgestone tyres alone are 200 quid a corner and it likes to eat them regularly on the front. She got upgraded mugen air filter and remap. 201 -> 216.5 bhp. Once I finish paying her off I'm looking into mugen exhaust, injector rail, LSD, hondata ecu to try for 250. Exterior wise standard, possibly mugen suspension in future and the wheels are being powder coated anthracite grey in couple of weeks when next 2 tyres go on. Got an accident repair centre down road that'll refurb and coat for 40 quid a wheel? Thought that was amazing so once I buy next two tyres off internet bit cheaper then free fitting when they put tyres on after coating was thinking bout window tint but the lower rear window is perspex for weight saving and apparently tint doesn't stick as a few ppl found on type r owners club halfway thru and looks bit stupid with that clear. Oh got some stop tech disc and pad upgrade to fit sometime too. I'm just upgrading as parts wear out now, pointless changin perfectly good parts.

most of us move to Toyo from the rock hard PZero, the Toyo have more grip in the damp and are quiter and eh about £50 less than PZero, do wear more but I don't drive hard on corners/bends so am getting decent wear rate on them.

Yeah I've tried toyo proxy, they actually come with 1.5mm more tread than most tyres apparently because of their wear rate. I found them a little to soft and handling was affected slightly, I do a lot of driving on twisty wales roads and don't know if its just my car but its noticeable what tyres are on. The potenza are wat it was tested and I assume set up on,and lasts longest of tyres I've had. I do wish they were cheaper though lol

Like the car fella and welcome to the site. If I owned your Civic, the wheels would have to go asap, Im not a fan.
I thought that too when I first got it, much preffered the ep3 wheels and thought they took a bit of step backwards in styling. But then they do grow on you and seeing other civics with aftermarket wheels look crap, even the optional 19" rage wheels look silly from Honda. It's a hard car to match wheels too.

zv5 the new ones ie upgrades to the (zz3s) which have a slightly harder outer wall ,fantastic tyre imo and alot of the rs guys use them and the odd person have also used them on track and said they was up to the job but of course nothing like semi slicks etc

ZZ3s? That's what a lot of us use on the ST- i've done about 12,000 on mine so far and they are still going strong- and I don't exactly drive like a granny either
Welcome btw mate, was looking into the Civic myself, what's the boot like? (boring question I know) but playing drums requires a big boot
I have a tendency to put small children in my boot so if you could answer this question youd really be helping. Saying that, the Fez ST boot is pretty big for a hatchback.

Boots massive. People are actually always amazed by space in car. Seats 4 adults with plenty of comfort and boot will easy do a drum kit, flick of a button and seats fold down for a flat loadbed too. I fit full size mountain bike in with seats down without having to take off either wheel which is handy. It's also got a second carpeted boot under false floor of actual boot. Kind of were a spare tyre would be but its fully carpeted stash hole, that fits trainers and gym gear in nicely out of site. Some guys on type r owners club use it for boot stereo install for hidden subs and amps to which is ideal. As a reference me and 2 friends went to golf and fit all 3 golf sets in boot with seats up, his pug 207 GT couldn't fit one set in and had to have seats folded down to bring along 1 set of clubs! Go look at one in a local garage, think you'll find be ideal for u. Come over to the dark side lol
