I went to clean my TB today, didnt have the right size spanner tho I could have sworn the bolt was bigger last time

Do you have to use some form of special TB cleaner? Or couldn't you just use some brakedisc cleaner/paint remover are there any seals that can take damage from "strong" chemicals etc.?

I was gonna use brake cleaner today, I used engine cleaner before tho

TB cleaner cost me £3.96 from euro car parts but that was with business discount think halfords sell one about six quid!!!
