However, i think it's something that should be valued and thought of when increasing the power in the fiesta, specially in damp and wet conditions this really would come in handy when pulling away from junctions on a hill.
This a good point, I'm a pre facelift and it's a standard for me now to unintentionally spin the wheels in the rain. If I'm not paying attention then I even feel the wheels going in 2nd sometimes.

Yeah STason, of course you call it Traction control, doh! Whether or not it would/will change the performance, it's not my primary concern. I just think it could prove to be a good aid when winter falls, as I reckon the 150 stock BHP will make the tires spin easily in the snow. Not that we get that much snow, but it's similar to what you guys get. And I have no experience with if I would hate it or love it. Of course you can always learn to control the spin of the line, but just have a feeling it could be a good addition, and would like to have tried it out, if it wasn't too expensive to have it fitted. Will probably have to give ford a ring, but usually they know squat, will have to get in touch with one of their mechanics then. But now I just have to get my ST in the first place

I may be wrong, I thought the traction control was always on? There's an optional extra that could be added which enables you to disable it. But it doesn't sound like you want to disable it.

Isn't the alternative a Limited Slip Differential? Does that stop wheelspin off the line or just when cornering? Quaife make a nice one I believe.

I have just put traction control onto mine - looking forward to seeing how the GEMS TC copes.
Did you install it yourself? What needed to be done to get it installed then? What was the cost?

I thought it was 2 different "extras" you could buy as upgrades. But from what I understand your saying is, that if the car is fitted with ESP, it also has traction-control installed, are you sure of that?
